2012年， Urban League of Metropolitan 丹佛, Inc., through its auxiliary the Urban League Guild, continued its tradition of support for 密歇根州立大学丹佛 by partnering with the Department of 非洲研究 to launch a book and supplies scholarship.  Urban League President/CEO Landri Taylor and Guild President Bettye Ellis, working with former League president and current affiliate faculty member in 非洲研究 Professor Lawrence Borom, provided two 非洲研究 majors $500 scholarships. 从那时起, the Urban League Guild’s commitment to our students has grown, with the Guild now providing two $1000 scholarships for the 2014/2015 academic year to 非洲研究 majors or minors in good academic standing.  The Urban League Guild values and hopes to continue the relationship that has been established with 密歇根州立大学丹佛.

Thanks to donations from alumni and other members of the community, as well as revenues from summer courses (beginning in 2015), the Department has offered scholarships from time to time.   We hope to offer them on a regular basis beginning in spring 2016.
