Please note that this course requires proof of proficiency in Spanish. A short prerequisite exam must be completed before registration is completed.

This course provides an overview of 解释 in 社区 设置. 社区 解释 is an umbrella specialization that includes 解释 primarily in Healthcare, 教育, 及社会服务. This course offers students opportunities to develop their 解释 skills in the field. It also provides an overview of current national initiatives working to formalize the 解释 profession. Coursework includes theoretical knowledge and practical application of 解释 skills, applying existing codes of ethics and standards of practice from one 解释 specialization to another, 词汇的发展, critical thinking and decision-making process, and role-plays / presentation exercises that simulate different kinds of encounters in 社区 翻译设置.
